Meet the Doctors and Staff!
Dr. Shawn McCoole spent over 6 years practicing in rural Kansas and Missouri communities until moving back to his home town of Atchison in 1997. He considers himself a true mixed animal practice (including goats)! He has a special interest in equine reproduction and has been performing Artificial Insemination in mares for several years. Dr. McCoole has implemented the use of motorized dental equipment in equine dentistry.
Dr. Christine McCoole is a 1991 graduate of Kansas State University. She is a native of Hutchison, KS and spent the first 12 years in small animal practice in the Kansas City area. Dr. McCoole has specific interest in internal medicine, including endocrinology, dentistry, small animal reproduction and soft tissue surgery. Dr. McCoole has practiced full time in Atchison since 2004. Dr. McCoole is a board member of the Atchison Humane Society.
